The Old Man and the Dog

Grand day,

Hope all is well with you and yours. Today I am giving thanks for a story about an old man and his dog. One day a man approached a porch with an old man sitting in a chair with a dog who obviously was in pain from the yelping he was doing. The passerby asked the old man, what was the problem, old replied, “he’s sitting on a rusty nail”. The passerby then asked, “why the dog refused to get up off the rusty nail”. The old man replied, “it doesn’t hurt enough yet”.

We all tolerate, others, circumstances and ourselves causing us harm and or pain willingly with little to no resistance. Others observing wonder what in the hell is wrong with us. Most of us are not consciously aware or afraid of the unknown. But the real issue is, it just doesn’t hurt enough yet. Please, make a change before it’s too late! As in the battered woman syndrome, you may get to a point that you snap and find yourself in a much worst situation. Give thanks.

 Peace
