Grand day,
Hope all is well with you and yours. Today I’m going to express gratitude for being exposed to the 4 Squares. When I was in mid-twenties, I was in a business group and one of the leaders had a weekend teaching session – Bill Britt. One topic that stuck with me was the discussion on the 4 Squares. Here is a edited version: square 1 (top left) what you think people think of you, square 2 (bottom left) what people actually think of you, square 3 (top right) what you think of yourself, and square 4 (bottom right) who you are.
I allowed square one and two dictate most of my life until adult hood, and even then still. I firmly believe in constructive criticism, counseling and having mentors etc. We need those things and more for balance. As progress on my journey to square three, I realize some people thoughts and actions towards me had nothing to do with me, positive or negative. Then and now I am journeying in Be-ing. It’s work, all about self is not always pleasant but, my choices and experiences have brought me here to Be.
I’m Thankful.
